Chail wildlife sanctuary covering 110 sq km area is pretty large and accommodates many unique species of wildlife, birds and floral. This sanctuary is located in Chail .It is popularly known for the rich varieties of wildlife. Established in 1976, this wildlife sanctuary was announced to be a protected area under the concern of the Government.

This Chail sanctuary is densely covered by many floral and fauna and trees like pine and oak. There is also a vast area of grassland found in this sanctuary. You can find the popular animal species in this wild region such as wild boar, sambar, goral, spotted deer, common langur, Himalayan black bear, Indian porcupine, flying squirrel and many others. You can also find European deer in this sanctuary, which was introduced to this forest region 50 years ago by the formar Maharaja of a Patiala, however, this deer was not sighted from 1988 according to the survey. There is also Chir breeding and rehabilitation center available here to help the increasing number of chir birds, especially in the nearby regions.
